100A 100V Electrodialysis Rectifier for Membrane Stacks

100V 100A electrodialysis rectifier with adjustable DC output, 4.3-inch interface, air cooling and control integration for membrane stacks.

Electrodialysis uses controlled DC current across membrane stacks to move ions between flow channels. The rectifier supplies the electrical conditions, while stack arrangement, membrane area, feed conductivity, flow and temperature determine the operating window.

This 100V 100A air-cooled rectifier is a reference configuration for higher-voltage membrane-stack systems. Its horizontal enclosure can be installed on a floor support or equipment rack near the skid.

Key functions for membrane-stack systems

  • Adjustable DC voltage and current: set the electrical load around stack area, conductivity and current-density target.
  • Constant-current or constant-voltage operation: select the control mode that matches commissioning data and the operating strategy.
  • 4.3-inch local interface: view output values and adjust the working setpoint at the cabinet.
  • Start/stop and alarm integration: coordinate output with circulation, pressure, conductivity and skid safety signals.
  • Forced-air cooling: support normal operation when airflow and clearance are provided.
  • Optional reversal sequencing: discuss only when the membrane-stack design and operating strategy require it.

These functions manage the electrical input and do not guarantee a fixed desalting rate, recovery or product-water quality.

The reference rating does not define membrane-stack capacity. Final selection should check the number of cells, stack voltage, current density, feed conductivity, temperature and operating cycle.

Connecting and selecting the supply

Connect the positive and negative outputs to the stack busbars using conductors sized for continuous current and cable distance. Confirm flow, pressure, conductivity and any required interlocks before enabling output.

Select current from active membrane area and the target current density, then confirm total voltage across the complete stack at expected feed conditions. Include fouling state, temperature variation and the highest expected stack resistance.

See the electrochemical wastewater rectifier range for other configurations. If programmed polarity reversal is central to the process, compare the 100A 300V automatic-reversing EDR rectifier.

Does 100V apply across every membrane pair?

No. The total output voltage is distributed across the complete stack. The electrical drawing is required to check the voltage per cell pair.

Is automatic reversal included by default?

No. Reversal is configured only when the membrane-stack design and operating strategy require it.

Can the rectifier guarantee desalting performance?

No. Results depend on membrane condition, feed composition, flow, temperature, current density and the complete system design.
